Giving Opportunities

Tuition at Heritage Christian Schools does not cover all of the expenditures of the ministry. We must rely on the charitable gifts of our parents, grandparents, alumni and friends to help cover the "gap" between what tuition & fees cover and the actual expense of operating HCS. The following are alternate means of financial giving to Heritage Christian Schools to help meet our general operating budget or assist in capital campaign endeavors or special project funding (donors should always indicate the nature of their gift).

Cash Gifts
Cash gifts can be made to Heritage Christian Schools and mailed to 1300 S. 109th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53214. Annotate your gift to be used for "General Purposes".

Endowment Trust Program
The goal of this program is to provide increased benefits for our staff, move away from a “tuition driven” paradigm of school funding, and to insure the long term financial stability of HCS. We would like to encourage you to participate in this program by providing a financial gift and/or a life gift.

Appreciated Assets
Appreciated assets such as stock shares, mutual fund shares and real estate are encouraged and may provide significant tax benefits to the donor.

Corporate Matching Gifts (matching gifts made by employees)
Many corporations match the charitable donations of their employees.

Planned Gifts
Planned gifts are special types of gifts which may include the following giving instruments:
  • Bequests (by last will and testament)
  • Revocable trusts
  • IRAs
  • Charitable Gift Annuities
  • Life Insurance
  • Charitable Remainder Unitrusts and Annuity Trusts
  • Charitable Lead Trusts

This family of special giving instruments may provide significant tax and/or income benefits as well as other benefits. The type of instrument best suited to the donor will depend upon the goals and needs of the donor.

For information and assistance with any of the above giving programs, contact our Advancement Office at 414-259-1231. Heritage Christian Schools is a not for profit, 501(c)(3) organization and your gift may be tax deductible. Heritage is not a tax consultant and donors should always seek the advice of their own financial consultant prior to making a sizeable donation.
