Naomi Blankenburg was born and raised in and around Madison, WI. She earned her BS in Biochemistry / Molecular Biology at UW Madison and her Teaching Certification from UW Milwaukee. After obtaining her undergraduate at Madison, she worked in a laboratory doing research at the Blood Center of Southeastern Wisconsin until deciding to go back to school to become a teacher. She worked at Pius XI High School for four years teaching science. She then decided to stay at home and raise her two children. During that time she worked as a private tutor in math and science. Upon her children reaching school age, she started working outside the home again as a science teacher. She currently teaches Honors Biology and Advanced Placement (AP) Biology at HCS and tutors privately math and science.
