Music students are exposed to a variety of musical expressions. From music theory or composition where students increase their technical knowledge and historical perspective, to the Heritage Singers, Chorus or other vocal ensembles where students learn singing and performing principles, Heritage students are encouraged to develop their God-given gifts of expression in honor and glory to Him.
Mrs. Matthews graduated from Columbia College of South Carolina with a BA degree in Music Education and an emphasis on vocal performance.
Danielle has a life changing love for God and using the gifts He has given her to impact children’s lives for Him.
She began teaching in public schools, but chose to teach in Christian schools in 1997 where she has had the joy to lead drama productions, participate in musical performance competitions with honors, and form a student worship team curriculum including band, multimedia productions, and vocal performance.
Miss Thompson is an alum of Heritage. In 2016, she graduated from the University of Northwestern - St Paul with a BA in Vocal Performance and Bible, and a minor in Theater. Being a Bible teacher, choir director, and theater director at HCS, she is so grateful that God has led her back here to make use of all her skills and passions.
