Mrs. Matthews graduated from Columbia College of South Carolina with a BA degree in Music Education and an emphasis on vocal performance.
Danielle has a life changing love for God and using the gifts He has given her to impact children’s lives for Him.
She began teaching in public schools, but chose to teach in Christian schools in 1997 where she has had the joy to lead drama productions, participate in musical performance competitions with honors, and form a student worship team curriculum including band, multimedia productions, and vocal performance.
Mr. Steinke has directed Choirs of many sizes and ages ranges for over 15 years. He emphasizes student initiative, and a Choir program that can create as well as compete and entertain. Students will gain aptitude in the music I.Q., engaging in a broad range of genres and performance experiences to put on their resumes. Small ensemble work, recording, local and out of state workshops / ministry opportunities will make the year fun and challenging.
He also enjoys integrating the Choir with Ablaze on occasion, as well as the HCS Drama Productions as needed or desired.
Music students are exposed to a variety of musical expressions. From music theory or composition where students increase their technical knowledge and historical perspective, to the Heritage Singers, Chorus or other vocal ensembles where students learn singing and performing principles, Heritage students are encouraged to develop their God-given gifts of expression in honor and glory to Him.
