Miss Christina Chang
Miss Chang grew up in Glenview, IL which is a northern suburb of Chicago. Always very involved in band, she knew she loved music and band and everything that it entails.
Christina graduated from Carroll University receiving her Bachelors' in Music Education with an emphasis in Instrumental and General Music. Prior to coming to HCS in 2014, she served as a long-term substitute teacher in the Mequon-Thiensville School District, working with the beginning and Middle School bands, and at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran School in Oconomowoc as the Band Director.
Outside of school Miss Chang is the stage manager and a member of the Waukesha Area Symphonic Band. She also serves on her church worship team as the bass guitarist and vocalist. She loves serving those around her in any way she can whether through music or something else.
Christina's hobbies include photography, kayaking, rollerblading, biking…anything outdoors and near water! In the summer she serves at InterVarsity’s Cedar Campus in the Upper Peninsula as a counselor or kitchen staff.
Music students are exposed to a variety of musical expressions. From music theory or composition where students increase their technical knowledge and historical perspective, to the Heritage Singers, Chorus or other vocal ensembles where students learn singing and performing principles, Heritage students are encouraged to develop their God-given gifts of expression in honor and glory to Him.
