Building Substitute Coordinator
The Building Substitute Coordinator ensures continuity of instruction by managing the daily coverage needs of the school. This role oversees substitute teacher scheduling, communicates assignments clearly, and maintains a reliable pool of qualified substitutes who align with the mission and expectations of Heritage Christian Schools. In addition to coordinating coverage, the Building Substitute Coordinator supports teachers and administration by ensuring classrooms remain structured, supervised, and conducive to learning in the absence of the regular teacher. This position requires strong organization, proactive communication, and a commitment to upholding a Christ-centered, student-focused environment.

Elementary Assistant Principal
The Elementary Assistant Principal serves as a key leader in the daily operations and long-term growth of the school. This role supports the Principal in cultivating a Christ-centered environment marked by strong systems, clear expectations, and a commitment to student formation and academic excellence.
Operationally, the Assistant Principal helps ensure consistency and accountability across the building, including supervising daily student life, supporting adherence to school protocols, managing report card systems, and overseeing elements of the elementary budget. In the absence of the Principal, this individual serves as the building lead.
Relationally, this leader is highly visible and engaged in student life—guiding arrival and dismissal, supervising key transitions, and leading the implementation of positive behavior systems. The role requires strong communication with parents and the ability to develop staff capacity in effective student management.
Instructionally, the Assistant Principal partners with faculty to strengthen teaching and learning through coaching, evaluation, and professional development. This includes supporting curriculum alignment, coordinating assessment systems, analyzing data to inform instruction, and contributing to the continuous improvement of academic programs.
This position requires a leader who is organized, proactive, and deeply committed to developing both students and staff within a distinctly Christ-centered educational framework.

Elementary Teacher (Long-Term Substitute)
Heritage Christian Schools is seeking a passionate and talented Elementary Teacher to join our Christ-centered community. This is a temporary long-term position that begins in May 2026 and concludes with the school year. The right candidate could be considered for open elementary positions.
Digital Media / Technology
The Digital Media and Technology Teacher equips students with the skills to think critically, create responsibly, and engage effectively in a digital world. This role integrates technology across the curriculum while providing direct instruction in digital literacy, media creation, and responsible online behavior. The teacher fosters creativity, problem-solving, and innovation, while ensuring students develop practical skills in current technologies and tools. A strong emphasis is placed on stewardship of technology, ethical use, and preparing students to use digital platforms in ways that honor Christ and serve others.
Middle and High School ELA (English Language Arts)
The Middle and High School ELA Teacher cultivates students’ ability to read deeply, write clearly, and think critically through the study of literature and language. This role develops strong communicators who can analyze texts, articulate ideas, and engage thoughtfully with the world around them. Instruction emphasizes both skill development and worldview formation, guiding students to evaluate themes, narratives, and perspectives through a biblical lens. The teacher fosters a classroom environment that values discussion, intellectual curiosity, and the pursuit of truth, helping students grow as articulate, discerning, and Christ-centered communicators.
Middle School Science
The Middle School Science Teacher engages students in exploring God’s creation through inquiry, observation, and scientific reasoning. This role builds foundational knowledge in life, physical, and earth sciences while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Instruction emphasizes hands-on learning, experimentation, and the application of scientific concepts to real-world contexts. The teacher helps students see the order, complexity, and beauty of creation, encouraging curiosity and wonder while guiding them to understand science within a Christ-centered worldview.
