Christ-Centered Community
At Heritage Christian Schools, spiritual formation is not a separate program added to the school day. It is the steady heartbeat of our community as students are taught God’s Word, encouraged in faith, and equipped to follow Christ in every area of life.
The Steady Heartbeat of Our School
Heritage Christian Schools seeks to ignite a passion for Jesus and nurture deeply rooted faith. Through chapel, biblical instruction, worship, discipleship, prayer, and community life, students are invited to know God’s truth and live it faithfully.
Chapel at HCS
Weekly chapel is an immersive experience designed to engage students in celebratory worship, offer Christ-centered messages, allow for heartfelt reflection, and strengthen authentic community.
Students are also given opportunities to use their creative gifts in worship and leadership. Age-appropriate chapels are customized for elementary, middle school, and high school students so they can engage in praise and worship, learn God’s Word, and be equipped to walk with Christ every day.

Biblical Formation
Biblical Truth, Taught Daily
Every Heritage Christian Schools student, preschool through 12th grade, spends time in the Bible every school day with teachers and classmates.
- Verse memorization helps plant key lessons deep in students’ hearts.
- Biblical history provides context for understanding God’s Word.
- High school electives allow students to apply biblical knowledge in real-world settings.
- Graduates leave knowing God’s truth and are prepared to explain what they believe and why they believe it.

Community Building
Small Group Accountability
Middle and High School students participate in Spiritual, Academic, and Life Training, known as S.A.L.T., advisory groups where relationships are established, community is built, and truth is reinforced.
Guided by a staff mentor, students are encouraged in spiritual and academic growth while learning practical life skills. Students remain connected to these groups throughout high school.
- Gender-specific Bible studies hosted by teachers
- Prayer groups
- Individual discipleship by teachers and staff
- Special events and faith-building activities
Leadership Development
Heritage’s leadership development curriculum is woven throughout classes and encourages the characteristics of a servant leader at every level of a student’s development.
Based on Heritage’s Portrait of a Graduate, students receive biblically based, age-appropriate lessons and activities that allow them to learn, practice, and grow in leadership.
