Middle School at Heritage

A purposeful 7th and 8th grade experience where students grow in academic strength, biblical wisdom, personal responsibility, and Christ-centered identity.

Forming Students for What Comes Next

Middle school is a significant season of growth and transition. Students are developing greater independence, stronger academic expectations, deeper relationships, and a clearer understanding of who they are becoming.

At Heritage Christian Schools, middle school students are challenged to think deeply, work responsibly, lead humbly, and live faithfully. Teachers intentionally guide students through these important years with structure, encouragement, accountability, and Christ-centered care.

Middle School Priorities

Academic Growth

Students strengthen study habits, critical thinking, writing, problem-solving, classroom participation, and academic ownership.

Spiritual Formation

Students grow in biblical understanding, Christian worldview development, personal faith, and learning how to live wisely in community.

Character & Leadership

Students are challenged to grow in integrity, responsibility, perseverance, humility, and servant leadership.

Middle School Program

Grades 7–8

Middle School provides an intentional two-year experience designed to prepare students for the increased rigor, responsibility, and opportunities of high school.

Purposeful Transition

Students learn to manage greater academic expectations, multiple teachers, personal organization, healthy peer relationships, and increased responsibility within the school community.

Prepared for High School

Through strong academics, biblical formation, leadership opportunities, and relational support, students are equipped for success in high school and beyond.

Academic & Student Experiences

Bible

Students deepen biblical understanding, worldview formation, spiritual disciplines, and personal ownership of faith.

Core Academics

Strong instruction in English, mathematics, science, history, and biblical studies prepares students for academic success.

Communication Skills

Writing, speaking, presentation skills, discussion, and collaboration are strengthened across academic disciplines.

Fine Arts & Specials

Students participate in music, art, physical education, technology, and other enrichment experiences that support whole-student growth.

Leadership Opportunities

Students are encouraged to serve, lead appropriately, participate in school life, and contribute positively to the community.

Athletics & Activities

Students may participate in athletics, clubs, and student life opportunities that strengthen friendships, responsibility, and school connection.

Partnering with Families

The middle school years require strong partnership between school and home. Heritage works closely with parents to support students academically, spiritually, relationally, and emotionally during this important stage of development.

Together, families and teachers help students grow in maturity, responsibility, confidence, and Christ-centered decision-making.
