At Heritage Christian Schools, we are committed to continually strengthening the experience we provide for our students and families. This year, we gathered feedback at multiple points—including an earlier family survey and a comprehensive school culture study—to better understand both what we are doing well and where we can grow.
What is most important is not simply what we heard—but how we have responded.
We are diligently working to strengthen and improve Heritage Christian Schools. Much of this year has been focused on thoughtful, systemic planning and preparation—building a stronger foundation, addressing challenges with clarity, and positioning the school for long-term health and excellence. We are grateful for your trust and partnership as we continue this important work.
Please join us in prayer as we grow and strengthen Heritage Christian Schools in every area. We ask for your prayers as we support our students, invest in our staff, and partner faithfully with our families. Pray also for those who are joining our community—that God would guide each step and bring the right individuals to serve within our mission.
As we conclude the school year, we recognize that, like any healthy organization, our faculty experiences both continuity and transition. Several valued team members will be pursuing new professional opportunities, entering important family seasons, or following God’s leading into new callings. We are deeply grateful for their faithful service and the lasting impact they have made on our students and community.
At the same time, we are actively welcoming new, mission-aligned educators and remain fully committed to providing a consistent, Christ-centered, and academically excellent experience for every student.
At Heritage Christian Schools, we are committed to continually strengthening the experience we provide for our students and families. This year, we gathered feedback at multiple points. Including a family experience survey, parent listening sessions, direct email and conversations, and a comprehensive school culture study—to better understand both what we are doing well and where we can grow.
What We Found:
- What Families Value Most
- We are grateful for the strong affirmation of what makes Heritage unique:
- A Christ-centered foundation that is clearly seen and experienced
- Teachers who genuinely care about students as individuals
- A welcoming, supportive community for families
- Strong programs, especially in fine arts and student activities
- Confidence that students are being shaped both academically and spiritually
- These strengths are central to who we are, and we remain committed to building on them.
What We Heard—and Took Seriously
Earlier in the year, families also shared helpful feedback in areas where improvement was needed:
- Greater consistency in staffing and programs
- Stronger communication and clarity for families
- Continued growth in student culture and relationships
- More consistent academic experience across all areas
- Improvements in systems and day-to-day school operations
We are thankful for this feedback—it has directly shaped our actions.
What We Have Been Actively Doing
In response to what we heard, our leadership team has been taking clear, intentional steps throughout the year:
- Strengthening Our Team
- We are focused on bringing in and retaining individuals who are highly qualified and aligned with our Christ-centered mission. Ensuring mission fit. Ensuring accountability through instructional and non-instructional staff. HCS has been supporting continued professional growth.
- Improving Academic Consistency
- We are addressing areas of inconsistency with targeted support, staffing adjustments, and increased accountability. This includes
- individual and systemic needs.
- Enhancing Communication & Systems
- We are implementing more unified systems and improving how we communicate so families receive clear, timely information. This will provide clarity across all programs and levels of the school.
- Building a Stronger Student Culture
- We continue to strengthen expectations, relationships, and student development through our core values and the Patriot Way.
- Evaluating and Reinvegorating Programs
- We are strengthening athletics, ensuring mission fit, and expanding student opportunities, while continuing to grow strong areas like fine arts.
- Investing in Facilities & Resources
- We are planning improvements to middle/high school science labs, continuing enhancements in fine arts, and exploring long-term solutions for our elementary spaces.
Looking Ahead
Heritage Christian Schools is in a strong position, and we are intentionally building forward.
We remain committed to:
- Listening carefully
- Acting thoughtfully and decisively
- Communicating clearly
- Continuing to improve in all areas
Thank you for your partnership, your trust, and your investment in Heritage. Together, we will continue to pursue our mission:
